Yes it was. Something like 10 starters out. Ranked #2 and lost 35-22. I think CS went on the win state that year. That was also the only season CT didn't make it 4 rounds deep. Took a pandemic to break that streak. The man is legendary.

Edit...Nope they lost the next week to Carthage. Then won back to back 21 and 22

We have to bring edge pressure. Both our losses were due to a lack of pressure on the QB. If we let the LV QB stand around back there he'll kill us. We have the athletes to play man and bring the pressure.

I agree. I really thought they would have brought pressure against HF. I was really surprised they sat in a zone basically the whole game.

Any of the 3 would work for me now that I have paid for multiple subscriptions. Really hate that there isn't one single streaming service for us all. But no, let's do this this week and another next week. Money talks.

Was it in Magnolia that I brought tickets for u? Seems like a lifetime ago when they had paper tickets. I see Magnolia uses HomeTown Ticketing. I'll post the direct link when available. WOS will be the home team.

Been doing that all year. Edge pressure is a staple of the 50 defense. Speed on the edge, man outside. Our kids have never been good playing a zone coverage. Especially having to stay in coverage for 5-10 seconds because the QB is standing back there on his spot. What they can do is stay in man coverage for 4-5 seconds while the front 5 get after the QB. We have the athletes. It boggles my mind why we continue to do that.

Many times I scratch my head and wonder how the experts in the stands, or press box in this case, see what can't be seen from on the sideline.

Well, this time I was on the sidelines. The Mustang sidelines as well. 

Now I do know that it's tough to blitz a team that uses 4 sometimes 5 wide. That's a lot to cover.

I'm picking up the sarcasm, but its worked for 40 years. Our kids have the same traits they've always had. Not only were the 2 losses heavily influenced by our lack of pressure, but so was 3 near losses. It is what it is.

I completely agree. There's a lot of things that don't happen the same way anymore. I just posted a ticket link above this. No more having grown folks walk the halls to the athletic office. Times change and until the clock strikes midnight...
