Loaded… sad thang is say PNG wins state 90 miles from Houston…. But coming from region 2 so DFW the media would spin it that way.

PNG and the entire district were without a doubt targeted in the latest UIL move placing our district in Region 2. District 10 made way more sense to be in Region 2.

Nah.  Just y'alls turn in the barrel.  WB did it for 2 years after being lumped in with The Woodlands et al.  PA's D1 district did it for 2 years plus for the last 4 years, had a 'district of death' in the 1st round in either region.  It wouldn't surprise me if the local 4A D2 district was moved to region 2.  It would be stretch but I wouldn't be surprised

The Bubble schools could have opted up.  With WB and United dropping, that would have been a nice 6-8 team local district in Reg 3 D1.  Too much like right

What we east of the Trinity and south of, say US 190, have to understand is this is NOT an area of growth.  The UIL wants 250 or so schools and y'all(coaches and AD's) wanted pre determined divisons for all of the lower classes.  So, with the facts laid out, there are several 'dead' areas east of the Trinity.  Several ISD's in no man lands so you will see more cooky alignments as long as the current paradigm is in place

It's the new reality as long as the growth here is slow/stagnant

I know math and geography is hard for the UIL.

Move District 10 to District 6. Longest travel for 1st round possible is 174 miles

Move District 6 to District 8. Longest travel for 1st round possible is 206 miles

Move District 8 to District 10. Longest travel for 1st round possible is 101 miles.

Instead we get as it is now

District 7 and 8 with 292 miles

District 10 with 233 miles

It is very obvious they cater to the Dallas area teams.

I'm sure if you dig back to feb 2020, I had simular post about PA and nem in Dist 8.  Catering to Dallas area schools is easy because there are more of them #moremath

One day Houston area schools will revolt against the UIL and do somethings about it

Aht aht aht.  You mean schools east of the Trinity lol

Yes but also Houston area traditional rich schools making state championships and having to travel hours away vs DFW taking a yellow dog 5 mins. Rotate the state championship game around between DFW, Houston, SA.  UIL caters to DFW can’t change my mind on it.
