PNG and the entire district were without a doubt targeted in the latest UIL move placing our district in Region 2. District 10 made way more sense to be in Region 2.
Sounds like they need to look for a guy who has on his resume, experience in turning around struggling programs. Just from the outside looking in, there is a process that takes some time and effort in order to repair, I’m sure, what are multiple issues. First, I would think would be instilling a great work ethic in both kids and coaches. Kids should expect on their first day of middle school to get the hound worked out of them every day in their athletic periods, and the same should be happening during the high school athletic periods as well. Find a guy that understands fiery pep rally speeches and chest bumping kids as they come off the field has never won a game. Hard work, attention to detail, and holding kids and coaches accountable, and implementing a year round program for growth, all that non glamorous stuff, will change programs. Pretty sure some of those kind of guys are still out there. Hoping for the best for the kids and community of Livingston
Tough win against a very scrappy and respectful WOS Team. Traded leads with them all night in a very physical game. WOS did a real good job of limiting Scales's opportunities, while Thomas made them pay in a big way for leaving him open. Bobcats were able to foul out a few of the WOS players late in the fourth, and WOS had to start fouling to stop the clock. The lead grew to 10 by the final.
Great work for both teams! Good luck to the Mustangs on the rest of their season!
