baddog Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 Laken Riley murderer. Convicted on all ten counts. Gets life without parole. Should be executed. He bludgeoned that poor girl beyond recognition. I have no sympathy for murderers. Quote
BS Wildcats Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 The death penalty should have never been taken off of the table. Thank the Demoncrats for their open border, which allowed this to happen. This is on the biden/harris administration, and those that voted them in. Reagan 1 Quote

baddog Posted December 6 Author Report Posted December 6 I don’t believe life without parole is a deterrent. I also don’t believe the death penalty is much of a deterrent given 20+ years of appeals. Of course with some criminals, nothing is a deterrent. Vicious murderers such as this, who would take boulders and smash a woman’s face in so bad that she couldn’t be identified, needs to die tomorrow. Quote
tvc184 Posted December 7 Report Posted December 7 The Texas Penal Code, as an example, lists three reasons for punishments. It is to be used as a deterrent, rehabilitation and to punish so as to protection of the public. In a case like this, rehabilitation is out of the question. So is a deterrent. He won’t have to worry about getting in more trouble by re-offending. That leaves purely punishment to prevent reoccurrence. Life without parole satisfies that objective. Having him put to death would certainly be satisfying to many people. I only wish that they had more punishment than merely being in prison without parole. Perhaps hard labor, restricted exercise time out of his cell, etc. If you want to get out of that 8’x8’ box? Hard labor or you can stare at walls all day Quote
