Vini vidi Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Since the middle of October Richmond Randle has averaged 68 pts a game. 71 thru two playoff games heading into the Brenham game. That’s pretty wild. basically 10 td’s a game for six consecutive weeks. Pretty salty for 5a ball. Quote
Rez Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 I’m more impressed by not allowing more than 14 points in a single game across 12 games. That defense is incredible. Add to it a track meet offense and I can’t see how they shouldn’t be the favorite against any team in 5aD2. badndn 1 Quote
Vini vidi Posted November 23 Author Report Posted November 23 On the defensive note. Giving up 2.3 per over the same 6 games. That is incredible these guys are giving off 83 dangerfield vibes Rez and TxHoops 2 Quote
gary-us-bonds Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 They landed in the sweet spot for realignment of a new school growing. Like George Ranch when they won State. Like Ridge Point when they put it on Crosby that year. For all intents and purposes, they have 6a division 1 numbers on their football team and get to play in 5a division 2. Quote
Eazy Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 And one of the best RB’s. Looks like a cakewalk to the Final. Quote
Rez Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Not seeing anyone in Region 3 who can hang for even a half with them. And Alamo Heights in the semifinal won’t be too much of a challenge. Quote
1989NDN Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Richmond Randle has one of the best, if not the best, RBs in Texas, sophmore Landen Williams Callis. Add that to a strong OL, an elite defense, and good coaching and you have the favorite to win the 5A-D2 state championship. I don't see anyone in the field that can beat them. Not anyone in Region 3...FBM might be road bump, but not a real threat. At AT&T, the Lions should roar over SOC, Texas High,or anyone else that shows up. RR v. SOC would be a good game, but I'd still favor the Lions over the Bears. Quote

gary-us-bonds Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 We will see how they do against Brenham. I don't think Elgin is a great measuring stick. Elgin got their doors blown off by Montgomery. That game was 42-6 at the half. Elgin is not good. Randle is great. No doubt. They already worked over FB Marshall so I wouldn't think that would change if they met again. The common opponent is Texas City and Brenham rolled them just as easily if not easier than Randle did. Guess we will see next week. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Lamar1996 Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 As much as I want PNG to make it to state again, RR will win it all this season. Very talented and well coached team. badndn 1 Quote
