After seeing them donkey stomp my Dogs......Gotta go with Texas High

PNG probably don’t wanna hear it but I think you’re right, that team is a machine!

I love PNG being the underdogs in this game.  We will control the clock and force TH to play our game.  PNG also matches up in the trenches against TH.  I have a strong feeling this game will be similar to last years Thxgiving weekend game.

Coach Joseph will have them ready! These young men have a STATE Championship to defend. A lot of folks had PNG defeated before the SOC state game was even played last year and you saw the results😁. I feel good about this game going in as the underdogs. Scalp’em !

Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.

Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him.

I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.

I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.

I'm really looking forward to watching this game.

Wow that's some impressive numbers, I assume you meant 32 tds running. That averaging over 6 tds per game. It's my understanding that chances are slim for #15 coming back at all this year was hoping he'd be back by now. We sure could use him for this game. Appreciate the post with some sobering data and a level attitude. PNG has to bring their absolute best A game and hope for some early breaks and/or turnovers. Gonna need the fans to do more than show up, they need to be louder and more involved than ever. Lord willing I'll be there. Love Texas High school football.

1. Correct 32 tds … Tigers are averaging 49.4 points a game. Lowest offensive output was 37 points in the first game against Tyler Legacy.

2. Potter is a pro style QB. He is a big young man 6’4”. Not sure if his weight, but would guess 225+. He is not a statute and can run if needed. But so far he has had the protection and other players to run the ball.

I've been pretty good in my predictions and I think this is where it ends for PNG.

Texas High is a little too much this year I think.

35-28 TH.

I'm glad you are not perfect in your predictions.  🤣 Leaves room for error.

Hoping this will be a good game, but I think Texas High has too much. PN-G in both of their playoff runs the last two years haven’t really faced passing teams. Texas High is a balanced offense with a great QB and stud WRs and an outstanding RB. I think it will be similar to the 2021 meeting between the two teams.

Obviously PN-G wants to use the big O-Line and run the ball and milk the clock. I just don’t think they will be able to score enough points to keep up with the quick strike offense that Texas High has. PNG doesn’t have the secondary to slow down the passing game in my opinion.

PNG is well coached, big and physical and plays hard. I just think Texas High is on a different level.

Lake Creeks team last season was more of a worry than this years TH team and we all know what happened then.  lol

This isn't last year ...And this isn't the same Injun team imo.....Both teams are good in the trenches, just not a good matchup at the skilled positions . TH can sling it, and run the football.
