Why do you guys spend so much of your limited time on this earth, worried about California lol

It’s like your average Aggie more worried about UT than their own school

The same reason you worry about Trump more than anything else. Why do trolls like yourself start threads like your Soros hedge fund thread and you never come back to…..just bait.

Newsom might make a run for president in 2028. People need to know about his policies. You don’t think that’s important?

Aren't there cities in Texas that are sanctuary cities or do they just ignore federal law so that they can protect refugees? The Bible names cities that were sanctuary towns in those days.

Joshua 20:7 describes the specific cities chosen as places of refuge for those who unintentionally caused the death of another person. The verse names three cities: Kedesh in Galilee, Shechem in Ephraim, and Kiriath Arba (Hebron) in Judah. Also Jesus was a refugee. He left a sought refuge in Bethlehem to avoid death

The cities of refuge were intended to protect the slayer from the "avenger of blood". The slayer would remain in the city until the death of the high priest who was in office at the time of the accident. After that, the slayer could return home.
The cities of refuge were set apart for all the Israelites and the foreigners living among them.

Texas has no sanctuary cities. You need to read more of the interpretation of the biblical cities. It was for atonement. Who wouldn’t offer refuge to Jesus? Jesus was no criminal. He was a threat to the hierarchy because he had too many followers. California and other sanctuary cities/states of our time are harboring murderers and terrorists. To compare these criminals being protected to giving refuge to Jesus is blasphemous.

Also, the times they are a changing. Back in Biblical times, capital punishment was used for just about everything. Should we go back to those times or do you consider yourself more civilized?

I thought you banned me from your enlightened posts.

Yep, big difference, and a very obvious one.

Democrat sanctuary cities won’t cooperate with ICE to remove rapists and murderers, but that’s about to change.

Are they offering refuge to criminals? Or is it a Trump talking point? Refugees are people who leave their country due to unwarranted prosecution. I actually take care of 2 refugee kids who have complex medical needs

No, refugees are not criminals, and the assumption that they are more likely to be criminals than the general population is incorrect:

What news station do you watch?…..never mind.

What age are the children you take care of. Refugees from where? Are they in a hospital? Now children compared to criminals…..geeeez.

The mayor of Denver and a few governors, including Newsom, have said they will not turn over incarcerated criminals to ICE. This is a felony. They are harboring criminals and fugitives. Gee, I’m so glad you want criminals protected.

Anyone who crossed illegally into our country is a criminal.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

From your own article:

Is seeking asylum legal?

Yes, seeking asylum is legal. Asylum seekers must be in the U.S. or at a port of entry (an airport or an official land crossing) to request the opportunity to apply for asylum.

"There’s no way to ask for a visa in advance for the purpose of seeking asylum,” says Byrne. “You just have to show up.”

However, since June 4th, 2024, an

Fox news

Here’s an article from the hometown paper, the Denver Gazette…

BTW, Fox News is watched more than all other news stations COMBINED. It’s the channel educated folks view.
