Talk to someone from Newton Wednesday night… he told me that this may happen.. That Daingerfield could stack box and stop Newton from running the ball and at that point Newton wouldn’t have a chance

Being one dimensional gets you absolutely nowhere. Is it really that hard for Newton to develop a decent quarterback? I understand the pedigree in Newton over the years but this is pretty sad to say the least!

Well I know this is the thought when Newton doesn’t win… but it’s the same way every where.. when you have a team good enough you can be one dimensional… People in Bellville said the same thing after we lost to Silsbee this year.. But a year ago we ran the exact same offense all the way to the state championship game.. The difference? We just were near as good as we were last year. But I understand it’s frustrating sometimes

I know you shouldn’t look at the schedule and make observations, but I’m amazed that Dangerfield got worked over by Tatum at the first of the year and yet Newton played Tatum very well and beat them in the end yet here Newton is getting smoked by Daingerfield. 😬

Daingerfield graduated some key players and had a new offensive coordinator this year if I’m not mistaken.  Took them half the year but they’re back to their old ways now

Out coached. qb can not throw. no defensive backs. If you look back we had these problem from day one. DF is a complete team, N is not. When we get good assist. coaches they move on to head coaches some where else.

When I saw that first playoff game against West Rusk, I knew they were in trouble. There was zero past defense. They have great run offense, but they better become two dimensional or at least have an option so they can throw the ball when needed.
