Texas has one of the premier wrs in the state and u don't even let him touch the ball on the last drive is mind boggling!! Great win PNG. Texas high coach blew this one fr.

I agree! The passing game has been their bread and butter, and PNG'S secondary has struggled throughout the season. Instead, they kept handing it off to the Oregon commit and PNG's front 7 is their strength. Sending in big Jackson  Christian on the FG attempt was great call by the OC.

Where was texas high band ?

That is a mystery for sure. During the regular season, bands sometimes dont show up due to them being at a UIL marching contest. This was not the case last night. First time I have ever seen this happen during a playoff game with nice weather. Anyone have any inside scoop?

All I gotta say is WOW…WHAT A GAME!!  Another coaching MASTER CLASS on display last night!!  That PNG ground attack absolutely GASSED T Highs defense…the last drive had those D1 athletes dropping like flies and tossing their cookies in the endzone!!  Jeff Joseph and company CONTINUE to LET ALL NAYSAYERS KNOW…count us out and you’ll get PUNCHED in the MOUTH!

That doesn't show unity when one had special privilege and doesn't have to show up for a game

They sure did!! Every since coach Joseph took over I have been a big believer of him and there coaching staff.by far the best staff in setx.he gets the most out of his kids.give him the key to the city!! SOC better athletes just like last yr.so I hope they don't have any excuses this year!!; all they have to do is ask Texas high.u can have all the great athletes but when coaching isn't great with that talent it goes for nothing.

Out of likes for the day (wish we had more), but I am in agreement with you. Joseph and his staff have worked some wonders with that program.

Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning….this played a huge part in last night victory as well.  Our OL destroyed TH in the second half.  Hats off to our sophomore RB.  That kid took every hand off against a strong D from TH.  Conditioning!!!

You are right… PNG o line leaned and played hard all night. T High d line started dropping like flies late in the game during crunch time.

It might have had a little nutra mixed in LOL

After being stationed in NOLA back in the day, you always asked for your white meat to still have the fur on the feet. Just to double-check.

Weren’t very many cats roaming the streets.

I think there are several 'intangibles' that played a part in this win. Losing to Nederland woke them up to how much we all hate to lose. After TH clobbered Nederland, they were overconfident knowing PNG had lost them. I also think the Thursday night game PNG an extra day to recoop and get ready, this might have been just enough to win.

Iron Mike said everyone has a plan 'til they get punched in the mouth. The fumble by TH on the 1st possession and the TD PNG scored off it got them wobbly. Bailey and company then kept them off the field and wore the Tigers defense out. PNG even left about 12 points off the board with the fumble and missed fg/xps.  Texas High has a great team and they can beat anybody.. they just got outplayed and outcoached last night.

I’m sure it’s because school is out for Thanksgiving and a lot of kids may be out of town or have family visiting so attending the game is optional.  I know that’s how it is for PNG Band but all other playoff games are REQUIRED.

But 80% or more of our band still showed up. 😎
