WOSdrummer99 Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Can't deny the numbers speak for themselves. And some of his best games were against a perennial powerhouse coached by a legend... well played sir. 🧢 Quote

oldschool2 Posted December 3 Report Posted December 3 No state championship in 9 seasons? It's believed that one should get 7 seasons max... Sounds like it's time to bring in an "Elite Coach". (rolls eyes sarcastically) All jokes aside.. fantastic job. KF89 and HarryDoyle 1 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted December 3 Author Report Posted December 3 A Message from Silsbee Athletic Director and Varsity Head Football Coach, Randy Smith: “As we close the books on the 2024 football season, I want to take a moment to reflect on what this team accomplished. I’m beyond proud of the 2024 Silsbee Tigers. These young men worked their tails off, starting in spring workouts and grinding through the summer. That effort showed every time they hit the field. This season wasn’t easy. It took guts, grit, and a lot of mental toughness to block out the noise and prove the doubters wrong. Out of all my years coaching at Silsbee, this group stands out as the most disciplined team I’ve ever had the privilege to lead. They faced adversity, battled through injuries, and still finished the season 9-4 as Bi-District and Area Champions. But what they gained this season goes beyond the scoreboard. This team isn’t just a group of players; they’re leaders in the making—the future of Silsbee. They’re setting the standard for this program and showing what it means to wear the maroon and white. Around here, we have a motto: “Those that stay will be champions.” And these seniors stuck it out. They’ve left a legacy that will echo in this program for years to come. Let me recognize the seniors who led the way this year: • K’leb Gaines • Gary Farr • Michael Moshier • Jayden Limbrick • Jayden Miller • Jamydrain Jackson • Gavin Hayes • Maddox Shields • Stephen Peters • Eli Miller • Carston Samford • Korbin Holsworth You’ve set the bar high, and we’ll carry your legacy forward. To the rest of the team, the work starts now. Next season begins today, and I’m already fired up for 2025. To our fans, student groups, and supporters—thank you for having our backs. Whether it was the band, cheer squad, Tigerettes, Tiger Keepers, or the noise from the stands, you brought the energy to Friday nights. Thanks to the Tiger Nation Booster Club, football parents, and the Donalson Group for keeping our boys fueled and ready. The 2024 Tigers made us proud, and the future is bright. We’ll see you back at Tiger Stadium next year as a new group of Tigers begins their journey.” Go Tigers! - Coach Smith BADSANTA 1 Quote

navydawg31 Posted December 3 Report Posted December 3 For Coach Smith to say that about this group compared to all the others he had must be saying something. Kudos to that senior group in Silsbee. BADSANTA 1 Quote
