I want be careful not be negative, but I don't understand why they had a different (#67?) kick the extra point which he made then he kicked off on the ensuing kick off and it was as good as any of the kickoffs and then went back to the other kicker for the rest of the game. One is left footed and one is right footed so that brings in another variable with the center and the holder, just doesn't seem logical for something that relies so much consistency and timing.?? DukeS Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 I wonder why it’s taking so long for them to agree and/or find an open stadium. I’ve seen plenty of other games already announced for next week. Quote

I would like for a dome stadium, because the weather has a chance of being bad next Friday. Don’t want SOC to make excuses after they lose. 🤣🤣 tfaas and badndn 2 Quote
Lamar1996 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Someone add a pole on this thread. I want to see what morons pick SOC because of talent alone. PNG already comes into this game underdogs, because of the recruiting SOC has. However, the outcome will be the same as last years state championship. Quote
TrojanWarrior08 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 3 hours ago, navydawg31 said: I don’t think I saw why you stated earlier in the year… how come shsu not available? Since Huntsville has a stadium now SHSU has made it clear that they won't host high school playoff games. They rather have the attention over there plus since SHSU is now a Division 1 school in NCAA (C-USA is their conference now) they feel like either they can rebuild the stadium or make a new one. It's been a lot of land cleaning out that way so I will expect a new stadium in Huntsville soon. navydawg31 1 Quote

If so that sucks I was there when png won in the semi’s… Been that way since they built the new stadium, plus even if it were an option…that SEC price tag to rent it isn’t feasible for most high schools! A lot of colleges have stopped hosting high school playoff games. I’m sure it’s probably due to liability reasons and expenses cause they typically don’t make enough $ to cover the overhead. Yeah, PNG would bring in the $ and then some, but can’t do it for one and not others. Quote
Matthew328 Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Part of the issue here is both teams want to play Friday and there's a lack of sizeable neutral venues available Friday night...NRG is available Saturday but not Friday...I know Prairie View has been discussed (seats 15k) with another 2-3k SRO but PV is dragging their feet...(why I dont know it'd be a big crowd for them)....SFA has been discussed as well, but not sure how interested in hosting SFA is....I dont think SOC is against a larger stadium because Coach Todd called me this afternoon and asked for the contact at NRG Stadium...the issue is NRG won't host Friday.. tfaas 1 Quote
Cougtalk Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 This happening in region finals is an F U from the UIL for both teams. good luck PNG. Quote
NDNation Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 I can see it being at NRG. It's a big stage and there will be a lot of attention on this game. Double header with who? Quote

TD’s whole message this season is a willingness to play anywhere. NRG would be fine for both. Alamodome too. Why not just play on Saturday? Quote
pine curtain Posted December 1 Report Posted December 1 Maybe PN-g can't get the same officials they had last year......... Quote
