BYU vs Colorado in the Alamo Bowl… 2 big 12 teams kinda weird.

And passed up a chance to create an interstate game between Texas and SMU like they did with Indiana and ND.  The whole thing doesn’t make much sense with that seed.

I was almost positive smu vs Texas was the match up before the selection show… would have been a great one. But on the other hand Texas has never played Clemson before which I think is going to be pretty fun

Colorado is still under the Pac 12 umbrella when it comes to bowl games. Contract ends 2025.

Had Colorado made the playoff, then Arizona St. would have played BYU. ASU is in same situation as Colorado.

The only thing I can think is there was a clear effort made to not put any 3-loss teams into the playoffs.  Clemson getting the auto bid with 3, they gave them the lowest seed.
