2 state finals, with 1 being a state championship, and 4 rounds deep. I would say highly impressive

These football powerhouses are using open enrollment as a form of NIL in college.  It’s done to get some of these kids out of unfortunate situations and to a better life.  It is what it is.  I’m not opposed to it whatsoever.

 Having said that, schools like PNG better seriously consider the benefits of adapting to this new trend in high school sports.  Anyone who couldn’t see the talent gap from the opening kickoff is either naive or doesn’t know ball.  Some of the kids PNG put on the field last night were severely overmatched.  It’s no fault to them, it’s just facts.  

There will be some who say “well we won last year”.  Last year was a coaching clinic.  PNG could play that SOC team 10 times and lost 9 of them.  Last season was a perfect storm.  If PNG continues to be strict about transfers, that chip last season will be all we talk about for the next 50 years….because there likely won’t be another one.  Out of the 8 schools in the 5a D2 quarterfinals, 7 are open enrollment….PNG is the outlier.  Look at other predominantly white football powers (Austin Westlake, Southlake Carroll) also open enrollment.  We’d also quickly move to D1 which means driving to Beaumont, PA, and Barbers hill opposed to Montgomery and Huntsville.  

I know why some of you would be opposed to open enrollment.  I’m not from here, I’m from
Nacogdoches.  Our school was about as diverse as it gets.  I see the honor, pride, and tradition.  What I also see is an old school community unwilling to adapt to new culture.  A community that stands solely behind the purple and white….heavy emphasis on the white.

Congratulations Indians.  SOC was prepared physically and mentally for this game. Revenge was on there mind starting last year.  PNG needed to hit first, well that didn’t happen.  The match ups were wrong last night and not so good tackling.  Still, it was great year.  This dog is proud of yall.

That's not true the two best offensive coaches from last year are no longer there anyone who saw PN-G play noticed the difference but I'll agree on the Jimmy and Joe's SOC has elite talent this year

SOC is immensely talented and the dirtiest football team I have watched play. Specifically the LB #7. How he was able to stay in the game after the first two personal fouls he had for stomping a player multiple times and ripping another players helmet off and punching him in the face is mind boggling.

Yep!  Don’t think I’ve EVER seen a team PURPOSELY use dirty strategy and tactics  like SOC!!  From the matching gloves to conceal HOLDING, to laying on top of opposing teams players, punching, jabbing, kicking…etc and FORCIBLY holding them down long as possible while the others circle around with OBVIOUS INTENT to hide it from the officials…which a lot of times ends up drawing a flag on the OTHER team when they retaliate because they’re trying to DEFEND themselves or their teammates!!  It’s pretty apparent that CRAP is PRACTICED and part of their “game plan” because they mainly do it whenever the score is close or to stop the other teams MOMENTUM…they did the same thing to Huntsville!!   But no excuses…nothing would’ve changed the outcome because despite their lack of INTEGRITY and CHARACTER…they were just BETTER!!

Man y'all need to stop with all of this foolishness, it was all good a year ago! I watched #4 in the first series on defense bumping into two SOC kids after the play making his presence known ( i get it nothing wrong with that). I saw PNG OL doing extra activity after plays. When PNG OL make pancake blocks, they lay on the kids as well and talk noise ( i get it nothing wrong with that).  Thats what come to those kinds of games. "It gets chippy" as the announcers would say. Stop belittling SOC kids and coaches. Its always an excuse, like the SOC head coach said. What's your new excuse? Gloves? open enrollment? etc.? y'all are some sore losers on every level all the way down to flag football in y'all youth organizations. The post i've seen from PNG supporters is ridiculous and sad.

That open enrollment talk was put to rest 2 years ago,  the only ppl saying SOC has open enrollment and recruits are idiotic dumbasses.
