Anyone know a good place to see highlights, I only saw the 6 and 12 sports which had about 2 minutes of highlights, I tried to find them on YT and other places, but didn't. ??

Congrats to Woodville!! I was watching the game and my blood pressure was high not seeing Hunter in the backfield!! Don’t get me wrong, WV has a great team…. But anyone who saw them play in the regular season knows they are a different animal with Hunter at RB. I understand Williams and Barlow got you to the door of the big dance… but T Hunter took Woodville from a Round 2, maybe Round 3 team, to a state championship caliber team. I mean the dude had 5 rushing touchdowns  in the first half against DField last week and against Tidehaven he had ZERO carries in the first half?? Come on man! He kept them in the game in the first half with a 68 yard scoop and score defensive TD and scored on his second carry of the game in the 3rd qtr…. Then doesn’t play offense for two series…. And then scores from 44 yards out as soon as he’s in back the game.  I understand how important he is on defense, the fatigue and conditioning thing BUT if WV wants to have any chance of beating Gunter, that kid better play 75%+  of the offensive snaps. Anyone with a brain can tell they are a different offensive team when he’s on the sidelines. I cant be the only one who watched this game and was saying WTF is going on.

You are not alone in your thinking. I have seen this for years. Kids being played out of position coaches not knowing how good his kids are refusing to play them to optimize winning. Hunter is not the only kid not being utilized Rigsby is also being under played kid is a playmaker. Hard headedness and emotions have always gotten in the way.

Woodville folks complaining about a state semifinal win. Complaining about the coach who has taken them deeper in the playoffs in school history. On the brink of a state championship.

I’m not from Woodville and I’m extremely happy for that team and community on making it to the state championship game! Just expressing my opinion on observations. Woodville was 20+ points better than Tidehaven and they nearly lost due to not playing your key players when and where you should. Think about this, during the 3 series that Hunter played RB, the Eagles scored 21 points (3 for 3 TD drives). The SEVEN offensive series’ he didn’t play RB, they scored ZERO points and only managed a handful of first downs. His defensive score was ultimately the difference maker winning by a single touchdown. Doesn’t take Nick Sabin to realize that a kid that rushes for 5 first half TDs against a talented Dangerfield team coming off a blow out win over Newton should probably get at least ONE carry in the first half the following week. He wasn’t gassed, he was standing by the coaches ready to go in the whole time. If they win it all, it’s water under the bridge but my opinion is that if they try to be that conservative with Hunter next week, they’ll lose handily.

Always things that could have been done better by the coaching staff as well as the players but at the end of the day we got the W and now have a chance to win it all. Hope the team and staff are looking at things that have worked and not worked throughout the year as well as studying film on Gunter and getting prepped for the big one. No need to be over critical on these message boards

Honestly be satisfied with that because yall are going state.  I remember the last time we went to state and our folks didn't even act like that so some humility needs to be had.  For us unfortunately we basically started Carthage's run for what it seems like unlimited state titles but Woodville does have a chance to win this one but yall have to play the "COMPLETE GAME" otherwise yall won't stand a chance because Gunter is more structured than yall.  However I do believe in yall to get this $@!* done.  Make us all proud to win it all.

The point I'm trying to make is do not act your entitled to something as a program that you think is rightfully yours no matter how the coaches coach.  Be thankful that you earn your way here because how the players executed the coaches' strategy wherever you think it's right or not... Yall are here so give us Southeast Texans a victory.
