OlDawg Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Angleton bobbled snap on punt. Punted out of bounds to their own 9. SV ball. 1st & goal. Quote

That hail Mary offense they used against LP does not seem to be working against SV. The only way they really moved on LP was to heave the ball up for grabs and hope their guy came down with the 50/50 ball or got an interference call. Quote
TXHORN_ET Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Angleton put forth a great effort but fell just a bit short. Great season. Quote
navydawg31 Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Great Season Angleton! Still salty from the ‘01 SV game lol Quote
OlDawg Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Didn’t have one more miracle left. Great season though Angleton. As a side note, I’ve noticed so many times, when a team beats a team they lost to—or played—earlier in the season, they seem to lose the next game a majority of the time. Not just this year with DR, NS, AT. Other years as well. Rematches seem to be tough on both teams involved. One just gets it a week later… Quote
Separation Scientist Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Down 14-0 going into the 4th I told my peeps Angleton would not quit. And they did not. Tied it up at 14 mid 4th but their O stumbled badly in crunch time. All day their D played lights out. If I had one word to describe them it’s “tenacious”. Also, SV has a very efficient team. They don’t wow anyone but they play efficiently. Very well done Angleton. Great year! Quote
purple reign Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 The only good thing about losing is you don't have to face the fedora (HP). I get the feeling that they're going to be state champs. That man tried to retire in '18, but just couldn't in the end. I think he's about 73 now. Angleton will have about 8 starters back on offense next year but only 3 on defense, a DL and 2 DB's..
