NS has been dominating for 20+ years and never got hit with a recruiting violation lol please stop reaching.

NS hasn’t been dominating for 20+ years. Didn’t even win district in 2011 or 2012. In fact, finished 3rd.

Let's be honest... kids who are transferring around in high school TYPICALLY aren't going to college to get a degree.  They're heading there for an NIL deal and then a mega deal after they play out their rookie deal in the pros.  Education is the LAST thing on their mind. But statistically speaking, they'll likely never finish a degree plan or DEFINITELY never make the pros.  So why are people selling them a lie?

At that point you have to ask "what's the point of going to college if you're going to be unsuccessful academically, then never make the pros?" You're just setting kids up for failure in life just so that your favorite high school team can get a few more wins.  That's how kids end up back in their hometowns in trouble with the law.

That's my problem with society in general.  One community says "have fun... when it's over you can join the military, hop on that Hazelwood and get moving in life. Or hold down a part time job, take out some loans, further your education and get a semi-white collar job.   Heck, go learn a trade and make decent money... you can have a good life-it's all up to you."  So kids do.

Another community says "the only way you're gonna make it out of here is by balling out or dropping a fire mix-tape."  Which doesn't happen, except when the stars completely align.  When a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of kids actually do manage to earn a living as an athlete, why do we sell that pipe dream to everybody?

I doubt that a single kid from PNG over the last two years ever plays a snap of pro ball.  I'd bet that MAYBE two kids from SOC in the same era will ever play a snap of pro ball.  So was it worth it?

Another stupid post by someone who has no clue about the communities these kids come from.

One year they had a title. Yes. No dominating after that until Kay. I’m well aware of their history.

Son, let me help you out. We know all about the communities that fail these kids.

The problem is that those communities don’t understand how the world actually works.

If I’d been failing at life for generations, I might start trying to emulate what successful communities do to raise productive young people instead of continuing to bet it all on lottery tickets.

Your wounds are self-inflicted.

Jackson Christian has a chance to go pro. Might be a small one, but he’s smart and big and works hard.

This is really kind of silly or naive of you. You expect people to believe that an administration that approves hires didn’t do a background check thorough enough to know that a coach they were hiring was running an outside recruiting service, that there would be no conflict of interest, and there was no chance of ‘bleed-over’ knowing that recruiting of high school athletes was against the rules.

Got it. 😂😂😅

Also, he was with the program for 2 years.

Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against NS. People that know me can vouch for that fact. But, this whole episode was UIL whitewashing over something they knew they had a problem with for years, and just finding the easiest scapegoat that wouldn’t also put them on the hook for lax enforcement.

What is your definition of dominating? Lmaoo maybe I’m confused you have to win a state title every year to be a dominant program?

Open enrollment is one factor that is hurting BISD football.  There are a large number of kids that physically live in Beaumont that are attending other districts that do have open enrollment.  There is an even larger number of students that are doing so for Academic reasons.  Just pay the fee and they can attend.

Admins don’t hire position coaches dumb dumb the head football coach does. Hiring of coaches is nowhere near as thorough as you think dude. Long as your teaching certificate is in good standing & you pass the background check you can be hired anywhere in the state of Texas.

Secondly administrations barely know who the hell a lot of the position coaches are especially the newer ones and they don’t care what the hell you do outside of your job as a teacher/coach, long as it doesn’t violate any of the district policies which clearly owning a business doesn’t. You think the school districts do background checks on what their employees do on the side outside of the profession? 🤣🤣🤣

But to answer your question yes they did know infact, Kay hired his wife as the head track coach the year before he got there & one of the main reasons she was actually hired was because of her expertise in recruiting and helping players get to the next level.

Point is as long as NS has had success no other coach or the program in general has ever been sanctioned for recruiting violations. But I guess you’re naive enough to believe that they sent out a coach who had just got with the program to go out & recruit players huh? Lol

Isn’t it funny… people who have a proven record of success are racist and don’t understand… but the guys who fail at everything are the ones who have it all figured out.

In your mind, anyways.

My research reveals that he received a "multi-year" UIL ban. Did he receive the "UIL" ban for private endeavors not related to high school athletes and "not" under UIL jurisdiction?

Losing a debate?  Throw insults out to anyone spitting facts.  Dig in and support your one sided opinion.

Losing even more?  Call them racist.

Any personnel having direct contact with students are required to undergo a background check by TEA. A district doesn’t leave this legal requirement up to a coach. If they do, they’re culpable of a lot more than what we’re discussing here.

Again, he was with the program for 2 years. He was sanctioned for 3 years for recruiting (attempting). He said no one else knew. These are facts and admissions.

I happen to think he was protecting someone. But, that’s just conjecture on my part.

Overall, this episode doesn’t affect me at all. As I said earlier, NS may be a sacrificial lamb to make a point. No way to confirm. But—obviously—this issue runs a lot deeper than just a single incident at one school.

@CardinalBacker You can't have a conversation with @Coach_Izzy its his word only.  He's the only person on the entire site that is knowledgeable about anything to do with high school football.

It appears BMT ISD does have open enrollment according to this registration link. They just set deadlines as any other open enrollment district.

This is the hidden content, please

I can understand students transferring out as BMT ISD is rated 1140 out of 1201 school districts in Texas. Not sure if they’re a PEG school district or not. Would have to check. Definitely seem to be borderline.  If they are, the State allows transfers out with basically no questions asked.

You clearly don’t read very well…because I  clearly said all you need is a teaching certificate that’s in good standing & be able to pass a background check. However that still has nothing to do with who actually “hires” football coaches. I see you really don’t have a clue how that works.

You still didn’t address this part, 20+ years of NS being a successful/dominant program & never not once has these violations came about…let me guess they hid the recruiting for all these years & a brand new coach finally got caught huh? All the other coaches on staff were investigated as well for recruiting after this incident & nothing was found. But you’re going to tell us that they hired a brand new coach to do all the recruiting for the program huh? Lol

The text messages he sent to kids said nothing about them transferring to NS…this issue was brought about from a piss poor coach (Delaney HC) who had it out for NS! I’ve told this story plenty of times. Learn the facts big dog

This post right here tells everyone on this board what type of individual you really are.  When you start to throw out the "R" word your creditably has now shrunk.

For one, I haven't commented about anything related to SOC or any other school for that matter.  I posted an article yesterday that talked about this very subject from Dallas News.  There are big issues related to student athletes transferring between high schools.  I'm just glad the UIL are starting to look into this matter.

My statement wasn’t referring to anything you posted…simply stating to you the dumb sh*t other posters were posting on here which was indeed stupid & racist. Maybe you aren’t reading the same things as me lol
