You’re reading too much into it.  Talent for talent, both has lots of it.  The difference is obvious coaching.  Mr. Comedian tried to make it seem like we’re a bunch of bums at BU, which is not the case.

And Silsbee prior to Smith was the poster child for underachievement.  All that great talent that came through just to get their head beat in by WO-S and early playoff exits.  Took Smith to come in and have consecutive historical playoff runs all while beating WO-S.

And you alluded to Silsbee prior to Smith as if it was terrible times.

Yes, Smith has accomplished more than McGallion did but McGallion had success, unlike United.

McGallion made playoffs every year but three in his 18 years at Silsbee. Advanced past 2nd round 9 times and made regional finals two times. That's pretty successful IMO.

You made the comparison. Not me.

But I am used to you getting butt hurt from folks outside of BISD making comments.

Funny thing is, you go out of your way to do that yourself in regards to negative things outside Beaumont. It's comical.

Not butt hurt at all.  Just replied to him.  Funny thing is you fly in to these guys rescue concerning Silsbee.  It’s cool though.  Just don’t get in your feelings and do stuff like delete or edit my posts when it has something to do with a member of that previous regime.  
 

Anyway, I’m done entertaining the comedians for now.  
 

On to BU.  I hope they make the right decision with this hire because the talent is there contrary to the detractors…

BISD needs to change their way of thinking with this next hire.

No more hiring friends, family, retreads, etc. Go outside the box and hire an up and coming coordinator and let him bring in his own staff.

Would be amazed and what success they could have with that formula.

Not a joke. The truth hurts sometimes. Silsbee beat Beaumont West Brook prior to Smith. Im not saying Silsbee is a mecca heck i think it could be even better. But thats a different topic. Im just saying Beaumont United is never going to turn back into Beaumont Hebert. I am old enough to know about Hebert. Heck those guys could play football. By the way Hebert is 5-1 against silsbee. Maybe change the name to Doggett and start over.

Did BISD ever increase the pay for their head football coaches and make them competitive to other schools their size? I know in years past the talk was the pay being low…
