HtxFBGuru Posted Tuesday at 07:15 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:15 PM Solid hire by BISD. It was time to inject some youth into there football programs. As always they have some talented kids who need to be taught updated schemes to maximize their true potential. As previously stated, the true test will be how much Admin works with him to bring in some new ideas on the coaching staff. Hard to turn a program around when HCs are only allowed to bring in new coordinators. Mr. Buddy Garrity and wbfan 2 Quote
Coach_Izzy Posted Wednesday at 12:56 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:56 AM One thing I do like about the hire is Ron Jackson finally hired some youth! Because before this hire it seemed as if he had thing for hiring old coaches lol But Dre is a good dude & should bring a lot of excitement into the program, however he’s already been told by Ron Jackson that he can’t get rid of the entire staff apparently because the current coaches have family, kids & homes in the Beaumont. He can only bring in coordinators, which makes zero sense. He’s definitely fighting an uphill battle because the admin is clueless as to what it takes to have a success athletics/football program. Also he’s going to be hard pressed to find good quality coaches to come from Austin, SA, Houston etc to come take pay cuts in Beaumont. Mr. Buddy Garrity, wbfan and HarryDoyle 3 Quote
HarryDoyle Posted Wednesday at 03:05 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:05 PM Hopefully Coach Williams can talk BISD into taking the proper steps to be more conducive to a successful football program. I hear that the coaches at United and WB have been handcuffed for quite some time. Quote
Rez Posted Wednesday at 05:27 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:27 PM Is this the first United head coach who wasn’t a former coach at one of the Beaumont schools? Quote

They only care about basketball and how can we do things on the cheap! Emphasize the cheap! Quote
