I agree completely. The experience he and the team received this year will go a long way towards next year.

Yea, just have to replace a lot on the defense and Oline. Hopefully we have a good off-season

He sure did. That D1 QB pretty much smoked everyone else so it’s just haters that were waiting on Woodville to lose. I’d say being the runner up in state is not too shabby!

I am not so sure you can say he played well considering he was 9-23 passing for 93 yards and 2 INT's. Also had -13 yards rushing on 9 carries. (yes I know sacks are considered rushes in HS) From a statistical stand point, that's not playing well.

But, Gunter defense had a whole lot to do with those stats.

He definitely has potential, that's for sure.

"Considering the circumstances"

He didn't have any room to breath because the Oline couldn't block Gunter's rush and the coaching staff didn't do a great job of dialing up some quick routes to get the receivers open quicker neither. All that said he still made a couple impressive throws during the game. There's just not much a pocket passer could do with those circumstances

Woodville had an awesome season. Anyone can nitpick this game. Yes, their outing as a whole was sub par but it happens. I wish they would have at least scored, but such is life. Tomorrow is a new day if the Lord says the same!

The facial expression of the Woodville Head Coach getting handed the trophy imo did not look good. I hope he just had a bad moment

Was told he and OC got into an argument post game. Bad look.

First time the offense was completely shut down in like 5 years. Definitely frustrating to see that finally happen in a state game when the defense was playing so well. Play calling could have been better and the blocking definitely could have been better also but at the end of the day you gotta give it up to Gunter. Their defense was amazing but their special teams play was the real difference maker

Special teams were very special for Gunter. As about as good as you can get. Particularly the punting.

Well if you’re that kind of person to show your feelings and pout thats fine each to their own. But i wasn't coached or raised that way chest out and head up. Learn from your mistakes and move forward.

Woodville had an amazing run, defense played well enough to win a state title....offense and special teams not so much....

OL got destroyed and there's not much offense you can run when your QB is running for his life immediately and you can't run the ball...

A couple of guys went out early for Woodville and that didn't help.

Coach Robinson is a guy who speaks his mind and wears his heart on his sleeve I'm sure in the moment he was disappointed...if you listen to his post game comments he said the right things and seemed gracious in defeat
