To reason with you. Reagan I do feel like this is a political move. But if proven and to be honest just like diddy and the rest gaetz has had have a lot of smoke before the actual fire.

Oh, I agree.  But, there is a difference here.  diddy was arrested and gaetz was not.  This tells me there is nothing there.  I think the situation is that gaetz has ruffled feathers and is a champion at exposing corruption in the government.  Just like Trump, this is how they choose to get back at anyone who does this!  So, political move, to this we both agree.

Gaetz was investigated for two years by the Biden DOJ and no charges were brought for lack of evidence.

I expect everyone to proclaim innocence. I get it. Why admit guilt when you haven’t been convicted of anything. Even if guilty, the evidence might not stand up in court. 

To compare the cases however, apparently several witnesses have come forward and made sworn statements to law enforcement against Combs. We don’t get multiple indictments on innuendo. Apparently none could be found so far against Gaetz.

 But yes, they are both innocent until convicted and I expect both to proclaim innocence.

what I’m getting at is where there’s smoke there fire. P diddy been on the hot seat for about 10 years before any indictment. Same as all the others. If republicans hatch there faith in gatez and what’s smoking is proven to be true. Then what?

BIDEN’S DOJ didn’t bring charges due to lack of evidence, therefore there is no “what then”.

Gaetz resigned, is not in Congress and withdrew as an Attorney General candidate.

 He is nothing but a news story for the left.

Merry Christmas!  A few key take aways from the House Ethics Report:

⁃the alleged “prostitutes” testified that there was never an agreement to exchange sex for money with me

⁃the alleged “minor victim” says I was at a party where the community gate logs show otherwise

⁃the alleged “‘minor victim” abandoned similar allegations against my friend in a civil lawsuit when confronted with her inconsistent statements

⁃the alleged “minor victim” tried unsuccessfully to shake me down for money

⁃I got a passport appointment for a 27 year old woman I dated (I regularly did this for Floridians in a travel bind, as was my job)

⁃I provided financial support to about a dozen women I dated over half a decade in my mid 30’s.

⁃I have used marijuana, and would occasionally have someone else acquire it for me.

- the Biden/Garland DOJ investigated me for years without accusing me of any crime.

 

I don't mind playing the "gotcha" game.  But when you do make sure you aren't shooting blanks!  There is not a conservative here that if anyone is guilty would come to their defense.
