Both of these teams are a little rough around the edges. This is a game that needed to happen last year.

Silsbee will get a starter back on the 14th. Hopefully that'll help some.

Good game Silsbee! Glad to see Rice and Boulwen both put up big numbers so the scoring was spread around. Looked good against a top ranked 3A team but I’m still wondering what happened with the blowout loss to Nederland last week.

How did the Sherwood kid play from Hitchcock?  He's about 6'5 and I think wears #12.  Usually has an inside/outside game.

He did okay. I honestly wonder why he didn't attack the basket more and play down low. The way this game was being called, he probably could have gotten 20 free throw attempts.

I think it’s fair to say Hitchcock’s #3 ranking has a lot more to do about their name, and success of the past rather than the product they put on the court this year. With all due the respect to the defending champs, they aren’t one of the top 3 teams in 3A.

Curious, what 3A teams do you think are better outside of Kountze and Tatum?

I don't think they are top 3, but would like to see what teams you think are better.

#11 Jefferson #10 SA Cole, I would have said #9 Chapel Hill could be in the conversation, but I saw their best player walk off the court and outta the gym during a game at the Tenaha tournament. 
 

Jefferson is very good and just starting to get some love in the rankings.

I try not to rank anyone better or worse unless I have actually watched them or have seen film or have coaches tell me info.

I don't like just using scores because of match ups, some players not playing, etc.

Have you seen Jefferson and Cole? What makes them better?
