BADSANTA Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Jones, Boulwen, and Rice played well. Rice did a heck of a job on offensive rebounding the ball tonight. I'd really Iike to see Silsbee box out better. I see the ball in the air and players watching the ball and not putting a hip on someone. Good win Tigers and on to the full district lineup. I don't like just using scores because of match ups, some players not playing, etc. Have you seen Jefferson and Cole? What makes them better? I watched the Jefferson/Tatum game. Cole I haven’t seen this year, just based off coaches opinions. So you don’t think they are top 3 either… ask my opinion, poke holes in it, then not give yours? Nobody is taking a win away from Silsbee. They beat a solid Hitchcock team. Quote

But I also haven't seen any 3A teams that I thought were better. My question has nothing to do with this game but I am not surprised that you brought that up. Coach 01 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM From Hitchcock Head Coach: Gr8 atmosphere in Silsbee came up short 78-65. Hats off to those guys, I’m glad we finally got a chance to play that game. Nothing but respect to Coach Sigler and his staff. They are where I want our program to be. Back to practice Monday!!!! Tigers94 Posted yesterday at 05:15 AM Report Posted yesterday at 05:15 AM I saw where Boulwen had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Rice had 24 points and 12 rebounds. I still hold my breath anytime they put the ball on the floor though. I think Gaines for Silsbee can give us some good minutes. He's really quick and has good ball handling skills BADSANTA 1 Quote

BADSANTA Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM Report Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM Who is #20 for Silsbee? He seems to be pretty solid coming off the bench. He can shoot well too. Quote

Not exactly sure, but that sounds about right. #20 for Silsbee is Cartwright. 16 hours ago, Kdubya said: Where can I get the stats for both teams? Only place I know of is team stats are given after the highlights on Max Preps or Hudl. Not sure about individual numbers About those team stats: Rebounds: Silsbee - 30 Hitchcock - 37 Assist: Silsbee - 8 Hitchcock - 12 Steals - Silsbee - 15 Hitchcock - 3 Blocks - Silsbee - 0 Hitchcock - 2 FG% Silsbee - 44% Hitchcock - 47% 3PT% Silsbee - 18% Hitchcock - 40% (Silsbee really didn't take many 3s compared to how many they usually take) FT% Silsbee - 69% Hitchcock - 64% As you can clearly see, turnovers killed Hitchcock. If they can take care of the ball better and use their size to their advantage against other 3A squads, they'll be alright. Quote
STiger85 Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Posted on X; Troy Rice 22 points, 10 rebounds. This should be his numbers every district game, he is just an incredible asset down low for Silsbee. A force down low that should get his opportunity every game. A player that can dominate every district game in the paint. Quote
