It's the arena.  I'm telling you.  It's becoming the best home court advantage in the district.  Vidor would have made one of those free throws in a gym with a wall behind the backboard.  Discomfort and disorientation.

The rest of the district teams have gyms and nothing more.  They're all more or less comfortable venues except for Lumberton which plays in a hole.

Playing in a arena definitely has some effect on shooting IMO

I agree with the arena setting. Can cause poor shooting. I was told this was the case last night.

But Vidor just went 5-0 in a bigger size type gym at East Chambers tourney. Beat 4A #5 ranked LaMarque twice, 3A #17 East Chambers and 2A #3 Evadale in that setting. I saw all four of those games and Vidor shot it very well.

IMO, fouling on the three point shot was the killer. I have seen WO-S shoot the three ball. There was a 85-90% chance that shot wasn't going in.

And let's give the Mustangs the credit they deserve.  They played a great game against a ranked foe.  And that was clutch shooting as well.

EC does have a great and roomy gym.  But Is there seating behind the goals like at the G&G Enterprises Arena?

EC does not have seating behind the goals.

Mustangs do deserve credit but after learning what happened at the end of the game, WO-S is very fortunate to come out a winner.

Vidor committed a foul (legit foul) on a Mustang player who was attempting a "side step, fall away, going out of bounds" three pointer that everyone knew wasn't going in. Player made 2 of the three FT shots to win the game.

Was just not a smart play.
