Baytown Sterling could put a wrench in it if they were to somehow make playoffs. They are the 2nd largest enrollment behind West Brook. They are the Region 4 team that Region 3 winner would play in the state semis. They are undefeated and number 1 in the tabc poll. Have beat some decent teams but play in a weak district based on my assumption (never heard of any dominant CC teams in boys basketball. Ever) Quote

If the playoffs were a 3, 5 or 7 game series, then I wouldn't hesitate to make West Brook, United or PA Memorial heavy favorites. The better teams always wins a series. But when it comes to just a 1 gamer, lot's of things can happen. Looking ahead to a state semifinal match up when you are not even halfway thru district play, is the epitome of looking too far ahead.
