They got what they wanted. A political kangaroo court in order to say that he was a convicted felon to try and sway the election.

It was no different than Nancy Pelosi’s scam impeachment after Trump had left office, in another attempt to keep him out of the White House.

They knew back then that he would probably win again and used every trick play to keep him out.

Obviously neither worked and might have actually fueled his return to office.

WTG Democrats!!

🤣🤣🤣

And the DA gave a political speech....

@tvc184 - now that the case is over, would that end the gag order?

Yes.

 Get ready for the rebuttal.

Wasn’t this done simply so “convicted” could be applied? Can’t Trump have his record expunged?

Trump is going to appeal, and hopefully it be reversed.

I'm wondering if he will appeal during his term or wait until after.

No, a conviction cannot be expunged for a conviction, depending on state law.  I am fairly certain that there is no way to remove a standing conviction

If it is overturned on appeal he probably can but it if more like a formality. A person who is arrested for DWI in the case is Dropped or a find a person, not guilty, might want his record expunged because it might look bad on a future job application.

Everybody knows what happened to Trump and he is not going to be applying for a job anywhere. A person could choose to believe or not believe in the conviction but merely having a court say ignore this really won’t matter to him.

in my opinion ….

I'm confused. Once convicted, if appealed and overturned or thrown out, the previous conviction still sticks?

If overturned, the conviction goes away but the arrest record doesn’t. That is why some people seek to have the record expunged.

To get it expunged basically means that it never happened. The record is removed and possibly sealed according to state law.

ohhh - ok, makes sense

I understood what expunged means, and since this case is about nothing, then expungement should be an option, since it never existed. Also, if punishment is not invoked, then there is no conviction. This would be the first case I have ever heard of where there is a conviction with no punishment….not even community service. I’m no expert so there is a margin for error.

I almost asked about gun rights. But like you said, he’s got the American military. Lmao

Personally, I don’t think there’s a conviction.

He is still a convicted criminal.

Yeah right. Facing 34 made up felonies, his sentence is “You’re free to go”. What a conviction! But hey, whatever makes you feel good. You believe in a sham judicial system but you would be the first one to cry if your rights to a fair trial were violated.

You hit the nail on the head.

It was all about appearances in order to keep Trump out of office. The penalty didn’t matter .

Just like the sham impeachment in order to say that he was twice impeached.

Just like the claims that the Trump Supreme Court was taking away women’s rights.

Just like the fake claims of an insurrection.

Just like the fake documents case.

And why was all of that done? Because they knew four years ago that they would not beat him again.

The Dems didn’t waste all of that effort and money on an outgoing one time politician. They knew in 2021 that they likely could not beat Trump again in a straight up election and did everything they could for appearances. They could make claims in the campaign that they knew was coming.Insurrectionist, convicted felon and blah blah blah.

 The women will reject him!

The Hispanics will rise up in unison! (to be fair they did but just not as a Democrats expected)

The Blacks won’t support him like the Republicans are claiming!

In fact I believe that Trump gained ground in all 50 states.

So I would expect you to stick with the convicted felon narrative… after Biden pardons his son’s felony conviction.

All of this facade has worked so well for the Democrats. And in 2021 they knew it was coming.

Just think, the Democrats, who spent a billion dollars in three months, couldn’t beat a person who was twice impeached and convicted of 34 felonies. Let that sink in while you stick to the narrative.

And in 2021 they knew it was coming!

🤣🤣🤣
