Nope.  Not from me.  I have to say though that Silsbee's defensive intensity was off the charts.  Open looks at the 3pt line for the Pirates were few and far between.

Vidor played well for about the first 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter. If they could do that for an entire game, they'd be alright. They did manage to beat La Marque twice according to their schedule.

Silsbee used more of their roster tonight, which made it easier for them to press and play defense the way they wanted to. It was hard to do that early in the season when they were only using 6 or 7 players. Hopefully they can keep it up.

You said it, matchups are funny things. Bridge city almost upsets silsbee yet only beats LCM by 3 at home.

Bridge City has not played a district game yet with a full, healthy team. Even against Silsbee, Mungy, the PG had a bad ankle sprain, reinjured it that game and hasn’t played since. The game against LCM was absolutely ridiculous. Had I known better, it seemed as if all 3 refs had put the stripes on for the first time that game. Very poor job of controlling the game and surprised no one got hurt. It was wild to watch and rewatch on video.

Silsbee just got a kid or 2 back as well. They'll play again in a week.

BC unfortunately played the whole season last year without Mungy. He is a stud point guard and any game you miss with him not in the lineup is a challenge
