AggiesAreWe Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 I just so happened to speak with a couple of dudes the last two weeks who know some local basketball (one sat with me last night at media table at East Chambers). This subject came up and both said they would favor Silsbee by 8 or more. It's all about matchups. A lot of the experts think it's not a good match up for Kountze. I believe Silsbee to be a 6-8 point favorite right now. I did find it funny last night hearing some Kountze folks behind us saying during the game that "Silsbee don't want none of Kountze". Evidence that Silsbee is living in some Kountze folks minds. Some of us at media table got a chuckle. BADSANTA 1 Quote

Tigers94 Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Was this Kountze chest thumping going on during the Harris/Miller years, or is this a one year thing? One thing Silsbee is doing a much, much better job at right now is defense. Teams were scoring way too many points on us early in season. I think this year would have been a really good ball game, but it ain't gonna happen. If Kountze doesn't like hypotheticals, I'm sure it could be set up to where we play each other every year going forward. If it makes them feel any better, there's probably going to be some serious question marks on how good the Tigers might be next year. Quote
