AggiesAreWe Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 18-4A play Tonight, 6:30pm Silsbee can clinch playoffs with a win and a LC-M loss. Quote
Tigers94 Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 87 - 30 after 3. Silsbee starters came out after about 5 minutes in the 3rd. They might be done for the night. Quote
Tigers94 Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 103 - 52 was the final. Silsbee starters only played about 5 minutes in the second half. Dunk count was 2 - 0 in favor of the Tigers. Payton got dunk number 2 ( that I'm aware of) in his career. He's still got a ways to go to catch Harris in that department. BADSANTA 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted January 29 Author Report Posted January 29 This extends Silsbee's district game win streak to 47 games. Quote
Tigers94 Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 Jasper was at least respectable the first year they joined the district with Silsbee. They had a lot of size and athleticism that season. It's been all downhill since then. I don't know what their issue is outside of the players and community not caring about basketball. Maybe they're just football focused? Quote

Bailey driving to mid-court. Hudson player literally threw his body in front of Bailey. Bailey leaped over the body of the Hudson player at far left mid-court. Let fly his shot from there while in mid-air. Nothing but net! 3 points! That is the Bailey that I remember. After that they eked out the victory over Silsbee at Regionals. Quote

Jasper lost to Hardin Jefferson in the Regional Finals. Quote
Tigers94 Posted January 30 Report Posted January 30 Silsbee shot 50% from the 3 point line in this game. That's now three or four games in a row where they've shot the ball extremely well. If they can keep this up, they'll be hard to beat. BADSANTA 1 Quote

Able to beat Hudson, Center and Carthage that year but couldn’t get within 30 points of them! Lol I remember Bailey being the true basketball player and lights out shooter and spikes just that insane athlete that no one could keep up with. Quote
