Pretty much but I don’t think he ever played high school football at hardin moved to Anahuac his freshman year then to Rusk his sophomore year and back to Anahuac his junior year and now to BH his senior year

Regardless that still is 5 schools in 5 years.

Sounds like his dad can't stay in one place for more than a year.

Or maybe you don't understand the reasons why the family made the decision they made. Not saying I do either, but I do know families make decisions they think are their best interest. It's not up to us approve or disapprove.

I think most would say it's very irregular to move 5 times in 5 years,

Who is to say the dad had no choice but to leave each time because he didn't fulfill his duties at his work place?

Does raise eyebrows to say the least.

If he is "shopping" his son to get jobs, then that is pretty lame as well. In my humble opinion.

The whole thing stinks like a whorehouse at low tide.  

The kid will have ended up playing for 3 separate teams, (2 non-consecutive seasons at Anahuac), attended 4 separate high schools, and transferred 5 times by the time he gets his diploma.  Of course, since these Districts hire Daddy as an assistant coach, the transfers sail right through.  I get it, the kid has talent, but for a program and town that’s beaten their neighbors over the heads for years with the claim that they’re superior because they’re “traditional, homegrown, old-school, etc”, it sure is funny to watch them throw all that right out the window now just they’re afraid they can’t beat Lufkin in a football game.  SAD!

Maybe the younger Barrier wants this, but it's gotta be tough at that age being uprooted over and over. I know some of the friendships I made in high school are strong to this day, and those were four of the best years of my life. I can't imagine having to start over literally every year from 8th grade on.

I seriously doubt he's shopping his son to get jobs that have never once included "coordinator" in the title.

He doesn’t have to shop his son.  His son is a known quantity.  If a program wants him with no worries about eligibility, all they’ve got to do is hire Daddy for the season.

It’s greasy, for sure, but doesn’t violate the letter of the law.  It’s a slippery slope from high on The Hill down into the Dirty Bay and it looks to me like BH are well on their way!  Really living up to their “New Baytown” nickname!
