Not a BH hater. Just not a fan of the Super’s past actions. Has nothing to do with anyone else. If you were to read my postings, you would see that clearly. There are no negative posts against BHISD, or BH community or kids in general.

Do I think the Super is/has brought negative press to BHISD, and question how conduct rules in his contract haven’t been violated multiple times? Big fat ‘YES.’

Barbers Hill Supt makes sure his employees always get raises and stay in line.  Lots of people will drink the blue kool-aid for that.  Football coaches... meh, anyone can do that!

The thread title is misleading.  I don’t hate BH and I don’t believe there’s anyone in Baytown who does.  I mean, their homers can be quite obnoxious and annoying, and we’re close enough to them to have to run into them constantly and have to listen to the same old spiel and when you try to say ONE THING about how BH isn’t ABSOLUTELY PERFECT you’ve got to listen to them say “BUT WHAT ABOUT BAYTOWN AND HOW HORRIBLE BAYTOWN IS YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS!!!!” and on and on and on instead of actually listening to a word anyone else has to say.  If I wanted to live in BH I could do that.  If I wanted my kids in BHISD I could do that.  I don’t do it even though things are supposedly SO GREAT there because there’s a lot of stuff just under the surface that I just don’t like.
 

If anything, they’re turning into New Baytown.  That’s the most popular nickname for them right now and they hate it because it’s true.  Half their population are Baytown transplants.  Pretty soon you won’t be able to tell the difference.

Because they’re us.  Half their population are Baytown transplants.  That’s why they’re “New Baytown”.

That’s where their inferiority complex comes from.  They love to say they’re so much better, but then they look next door and can’t help but remember that’s where they came from, and if we’re really so bad over here then they’re really no better.

It’s a fundamental difference in philosophy, really.  In Barber’s Hill, they all say “We’re better than everyone else.”  In Baytown we say “You’re no better than anyone else.”  Sure, kick us while we’re down.  Stomp us into the ground when we’re too weak to fight.  That doesn’t make you any better than us.  That makes you worse.

Definitely should be named the "BH HATERS" thread. BH doesn't even care about Baytown, and never did. Baytown is no where remotely a rival of BH. Its just one racist fool named Goslin spewing hate.

No way. We have people from all around a lot from Deer Park for some reason. I know very little people from Baytown. A lot of us have been here most if our lives.

You have people from Deer Park because Shell sold their ownership portion of the Deer Park Refinery to Pemex. Pemex now totally owns the facility.

Deer Park is now becoming more like La Porte while Barber’s Hill is still like Deer Park was…

Many long-time DP people aren’t happy about the change.

In mid 90s, BH had 1850 students total. Now, they have 7,300.

Maybe they all came from Deer Park, but they certainly come from somewhere.

BH has a lot from Louisiana. In my neighborhood, I have a bunch of Louisiana, Deer Park, San Antonio, Beaumont, Channelview, a couple from North Shore, several original BH, but nobody from Baytown.

Question for Tepp. Why do you feel the need to post rumors and repost comments on Smoaky to put BH in a bad light? Since you represent a company like Dave Campbell’s I find that kind of irresponsible.  Of course you can do what you please, but just curious.

If you are referring to the rumor of why Abseck left Barbers Hill, well I dont think its a big secret that that rumor is out there, I'm simply acknwledging the rumor is out there. If you are asking if I personally believe the rumor, I 100% believe it based on the sources I've directly spoken with. 

 

And if you are referring to "That School" post I made, well it was posted in a public forum and is fair game just like most anything else....stuff from Smoaky gets posted here and vice versa all the time, considering the overlap it shouldn't be a surprise...

Fair enough, just seems weird that you would participate. I expect this from the masses, but was surprised that we were being smeared by a DC Rep. Oh well doesn’t matter at the end of the day I guess.

Is it smearing if I believe its accurate? I haven't said much about the reason Coach Abseck left up until that post...it might be because I talked to folks I trust w/first hand knowledge of the situation...I posted that "rumor" because in my opinion I believe it is true
