Nope. Trump increased the deficit.

The deficit is the difference between annual receipts and expenses. The debt is what we have to borrow to finance the deficits. Trump set records on both scores.

Well, my 401k has officially fallen below what it was worth back when Biden/Harris were running things.

Get a new advisor or if you're doing it yourself - stop.......As of March 2nd, I'm down about .89%

That does not put me back 4 years ago

Didn't he pause the additional tarrifs for Mexico, because he respects the President of Mexico?

Imposing tariffs are a last resort option.  The threat is the main thing.  The reason why Trump is backing off is that the President of Mexico has came around to what Trump/America wanted.  Fair trade, better border control and help with the cartels.  I'm sure there are more.  But, you have to have the weight behind the threats.  Everyone knows Trump doesn't play.  America first!  Again -- who can actually be against this?!

Good post, tariffs are a bargaining tool that hopefully isn’t needed.

Trump knows exactly how to use them.

I understand the tool of tariffs but he’s changing every week totally jacking up the market and other industry relations. It’s a temporary halt until April 2, then he’ll do it all over again.

Mann I'm glad I decided to grab a new 3500 last year. I'd pay thousands more for the same truck in the coming months.

Folks thought prices were high the last 4 years. Nothing compared to what's coming. I already see the tariffs in effect, bought some threaded steel for one of the company trucks this past week and guy said I'm not even sure the price anymore, everyday it's different. He tallied up the price and said 3 + months ago would've been half the price. Thanks Conald, keep owning them libs

All along i was told ppl vote with their "pocket books" 😂

Key word is “starting”. Covid shutdown and supply chain shortages contributed to price hikes. Let’s take a Ford truck for instance. Even after Covid, if there was an assembled truck available, it still didn’t hit the market because it didn’t have a chip. Another in a long line of reasons why manufacturing needs to be done at home. Trump has Taiwan now opening a chip plant here. They’re the largest chip manufacturer in the world. I bought a 2022 Tundra TRD Pro…..about a 6 month wait and I was lucky to get interior/exterior colors I wanted, and they’re assembled here in Texas. We as Americans want everything now, we’ll pay for it later, doesn’t work when we have to rely on foreign parts. Too much politics involved and we are spoiled.
