Well this will probably shock you….but I have somewhat of an issue with this as well.

i understand the sentiment of bringing stability to the area for the greater good…..but this is an area  that has a lot of history…..deeply rooted history…..that I don’t think that will ever go away.  
As of now I don’t want anything “USA” over there….no tax dollars and no troops.

Trump simply applying leverage to cause Arab nations to engage in Gaza reconstruction or the US will do it, and not allow it to be reinvested with terrorists.

Arab nations oppose this, of course, and won’t allow it, ultimately putting their money where their mouth is, which I believe is Trump’s plan.  He’s already scheduled meetings with someone of them.

I figured but this is unlike the tariff leverage. I’m ok with the tariffs if said country doesn’t give in, but this scenario I don’t care for one bit.

He does not like wars. This was not only a campaign promise, this is something he has said for years. He wants to make a deal.  You can't make a deal if you tell the other side what you won't do. 

You also can't expect change if you attack the problem the same way every time......
