Program can’t be built on names your coaches have to actually put the work in can’t expect kids to come in and figure it out !!!! It amazing that they think it will be a down year after this lol… Quote

BMTSoulja1 Posted February 12 Report Posted February 12 It's crazy to me that 'people' are insinuating that WB coaching is superior to BU coaching. Just based off of the entire body of work, that opinion is probably the most asinine thing I've heard in 2025. Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted February 12 Report Posted February 12 Anyway... 🙄 . BU had chances to win this game. 1. I have a problem with you're 6'8" and getting dunks and layups pinned at the rim., 2. Last game of the season and we still don't know how to do an entry pass into the post. Buuuut, I see we have a couple of these youngsters that have gotten better and rose to the occasion. Sky is the limit for these youngsters. They'll be ready next year. I can see the progression. Just watch. Quote

BU didn’t replace the two Hancock’s and probably won’t. BU was very fortunate to have those two on staff. Mamba 1 Quote

Next time put a stamp on it , nobody in any way shape or form said WB had superior coaching . In case you missed it United lost two good young coaches who were intricate in their success who helped put a lot of work in when that program got started . Anyone with a basketball understanding would know that , you can see the difference after they left . United is very talented , but you can’t roll the ball out anyone and think ppl are scared you have to work the ENTIRE staff . The excuse that they’re young is overrated because I remember a young Slsbee group exceeding expectations but what do I know . Quote

There are also how many kids off those teams playing D1 currently? How many of the current kids are on that trajectory? Honest question, because I don’t know. BMTSoulja1 1 Quote

And whenever Green decides to hang it up, I would want one of those guys leading the program. I know it’ll be in good hands. Quote

Having talent definitely plays a huge part and it isn’t defined by having D1 players because there are a lot of programs that have d1 players on the team . A coach is only as successful as his assistants because they play a huge part . If you ask any coach around the area even the state they’d tell you that this group isn’t short of talent. You can still win big with really good players !!!( also they had 5 colege basketball players and 1 college football player ) Quote
Clueless Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 I think the district is loaded with talent and good coaches. Nederland, Barbers Hill, WB, and United all have great coaches. PNG coach seems decent, they hung with everyone less year in close games with a lot less talent. Strong district all of the way around. I can only go off of the games I watched, but if we picking between BU and WB coaching staffs. I felt like WB coaches changed up tempo, coordinated plays, substituted at right times and made adjustments better in games that I watched over the BU. I have no skin in the game, just my observation. Quote

Just from what I seen. WB just flat out have the better team with that Guy, Lil G. Clueless 1 Quote
