Anything to own the dumb libs!!

Ford CEO Jim Farley today pushed back on the idea that President Trump's plan to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico will be good for the US economy.

"Let's be real honest, long term, a 25% tariff across the Mexico and Canadian border would blow a hole in the US industry that we have never seen," Farley said at the Wolfe Research Auto, Auto Tech, and Semiconductor Conference in New York.

The move, currently set to go into effect on March 4, would handicap US companies like Ford, while giving foreign automakers "one of the biggest windfalls ever." That mostly applies to South Korean, Japanese, and European brands that would not be subject to tariffs on the roughly 1.5 to 2 million vehicles they import into the US, Farley says. (Think Kia, Honda, and BMW.)

Ford hasn’t recovered from manufacturing Covid respirators. They also lost their arse on EVs to the tune of $billions. Japanese and S. Korean cars and SUVs have dominated for years, and now VW is the most popular car brand in the world. If not for their truck lines, Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge (except for their Hemi Challenger and Chargers) they would have huge problems. Toyota’s Tundra has been the leader for years now and their Camry was the #1 seller in the world in the recent past, so was Honda’s Accord. Look how many Hundai and Kias are on the road. Trump’s tariffs had nothing to do with that. Try thinking past your nose.

Wahhhhhh….troll

The tariffs are going to make things worse for  US car manufacturers. I thought Trump said America first. The tariffs will give those that make foreign made cars a bigger advantage.

Has any on the dummy left looked to see what companies in which Ford owns shares? Of course not. The Big 3 have been outsold and outperformed by Asian brands for years. Shall we dive in to see who used to manufacture the Ford Courier, the Chevy Luv, and the Dodge Colt. Funny, now all of a sudden there is concern. I laugh at you leftys constantly, especially you self declared educated ones.

It is laughable that the left is now concerned that government may impede the private sector.

Where was that concern with the Keystone pipeline?

So you think America first means allowing companies to import dirt cheap products from other countries and cut domestic producers out of the loop because they can’t compete using American labor?
