Here are some big time and interesting matchups for the Area Round (2nd rd.)

 

#7 Atascocita vs. #25 FB Travis

#15 PA Memorial vs. Brenham

#11 Silsbee vs. #8 Wheatley

Bridge City vs. #7 Yates

Pollok Central vs. #23 Onalaska

#12 East Chambers vs. #3 Hitchcock

West Hardin vs. #16 Thorndale

 

Any thoughts on these or any other matchups?

I think East Chambers will hang closer to Hitchcock than some think. Not sure if it was out of character or not but they shot lights out against Huntington. Also have some speed to match.

I’m the opposite… Huntington is probably average at best this season no offense, But I don’t think it’s close (I hope EC wins btw)… It would take Hitchcock having a pretty off night and EC to shoot lights out for this game to go ECs way… Stranger things have happened though. Pulling for the Bucs!

Yea I would have to agree with you. I’m just saying this years Hitchcock is not the one of the past two years in my opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised if EC can stay with them for awhile at least.

I like Atascocita in the game against Travis. However I think it may be very close. Atascocita has the edge due to recent big games played… The rosters are even talent wise
