Silsbee Football 2025

I predict a 6-4 regular season. Who xo we having coming back on each side of the ball. How was JV last season?

most of what you saw on friday night was like a JV, if you figure in their age. It's a tough schedule, for the most part, but they could easily be 10 - 0. If Johnson stays healthy and the young running backs bring it, they will be very good. Receivers are questionable, but there is some good potential .

Silsbee O-Line was pretty young last year as well. Mostly sophomores I believe.

I believe they will be better than 6-4. Maybe 8-2. WOS will probably be a contender for the DC.

Silsbee going 8-2 with a long playoff run would be awesome. Not sure who we have playing WR but we lost Miller and Johnson will be at QB.

There is a receiver coming up from freshman team, that played with an injury , so he never got moved up to varsity. If he gets healthy, he will be as good as any before. He has speed we hadn't seen since Barnes. Not sure how progress is coming related to injury, don't believe he is running track this year.

An athletic Staff members kid, there will be 7 to 8 coaches kids starting, will be a different dynamic for sure.

If what I am hearing is true, Silsbee is winning the district for the next 4 years straight and it will not be close.

Don’t know who could match them. About to add the two best athletes in the district. I suspect they will open the season ranked #1 in the state in basketball as well. Will be a great time to be a Silsbee fan.

Here you go again. The 8th grader has yet to play high school ball and you allready bout to be pregnant🤰 Let the kids prove themselves on the varsity level before you start handing out awards. I'm sure your probably right on the bball side but that football district is tough so you just can't assume that

I have been correct about the older brother. The younger is better than him. This is not a secret. Silsbee was already good without them. They are the overwhelming favorite with this addition.

You wasn't even close his freshman year. You made all kinds of wild predictions. He half way met them last season but his freshman season wasn't even close to what you were trying to make him out to be other than some preseason cupcakes

He was Newcomer of the Year his FR year (Would love to hear exactly what "wild" predictions" I made). Lead WW to the 2nd round of the playoffs and their best season in program history at the time. Eclipsed that last year while giving Columbus their toughest game in the playoffs (same for Kountze in basketball). Piling up offers from every college in the country for both football and basketball as a sophomore. Go find a sophomore anywhere in the state that has done more.

I tried to dig up one of your comments and bring it back but it didn't post for some reason but you were saying he was the best athlete in 3A and Coldspring and Westwood would win district. Said something about him being MVP that year. CS didn't even make the playoffs and WW placed 3rd and got beat by 30 second round. Newcomer of the Year is clearly not MVP and cupcake scheduling had a lot to do with their records.

Don't know how 34-7 at halftime and 44-14 in the 4th is giving Columbus a game. And there were multiple big time athletes at Hitchcock who were doing what he has done as sophomore except they actually got some championship hardware in bball.

Yes, I predicted WW would finish 2nd and they actually finished "3rd".

Here are the quotes you were referencing (nothing said about "MVP")

"Westwood will have the single best athlete in the district (likely the region/Terry Bussey type) for the next 4 years. That is why I have them 2nd. Not bad logic though on either district."

Name every player in the State of Texas with multiple P4 offers in football and basketball (could probably include the USA). Also, Hitchcock from the past several years.......
