Did he say for the government to steal (taxes) from the people in order to give to the poor.  Or do you think he was referring to individuals helping the poor?  I have a feeling he was talking about the latter.

No, he didn’t pay any federal income taxes like you and I have to do. 
 

Saying “oh, well I pay millions of dollars in sales taxes on the items that I buy with my untaxed BILLIONS” isn’t the same as paying income taxes.  Neither is claiming all kinds of taxes paid by his businesses as his own  

Elon, like Trump, pay no personal income taxes. They also have the power to change that now that they control the presidency and both houses, but they won’t. 
 

You get penalized for your success… why shouldn’t the rich?

Just a heads up for the religious high grounders, Jesus was sent here to save us all from our sins. Back in Jesus’ time, there was only the peasants and the rulers, so most of his teachings were done among the poor. Hello!
