I know people will come with more of the "split division caused the blowout" stuff, and I get it. But Bryson is 29-4 this year with two losses in district to #2 Whitt-Perrin (once by 4 points) and another loss to a 5A school. It's not like Bryson is some scrub that flubbed their way into 5 playoff wins to make it this far. They beat some ranked teams in the playoffs to get here as well.

TABC doesn’t have them ranked though which is weird

i agree. they should've been top 20 at least, if not in the 10-15 range. not that you can tell from this result. I've never seen anything like this in a championship game. But I wouldn't have expected it between these two teams in a regular season game either.

There was a reason why TABC did not have Bryson in the rankings.

Bryson definitely benefitted from the split division.

I don't disagree with you there. but less than a month ago Perrin-Whitt beat Bryson 53-49. Bryson beat #21 and #12 in the last week to get here. I think in general there's just a large discrepancy in 1A between the top handful of teams and everyone else. Jayton won their state semi in an unsplit playoff by 40 last year. I dunno. No arguing this is ugly, though.
