And?  BU also didn’t make it to state.  Yall said they would be favored in 5a state championships.  Again, 🙄🙄🙄

Yes, from what I have seen, this Kimball team would be favored to win 5A.

And in a way, I’m glad Washington’s getting crushed like this.  I still remember how they (he)canceled the payback game vs BU and rescheduled it for a game vs. Yates…

Good grief dude really? You still on that?? 🤦🏾‍♂️

That does it for Day 2 of the state championships.

Tomorrow will be 5A DI & DII and 6A DI & DII

First game tomorrow will be 5A DII Fort Bend Marshall vs. Mansfield Summit at 11am

Beaumont West Brook vs. Birdville will be at 1pm and that game will have it's own game thread.

So far, 5 of the 8 state championship games have been blowouts.

2A is the only classification that both games were competitive.

3A and 1A were all four blowouts and never were competitive.

Best game so far is the 4A DII game last night with Wheatley and Kennedale.

Be curious to see how these last four games go today.

As I reflect on my journey from west Houston to San Antonio. And my many trips to The Drum for the state tournament. Starting in 1987

With the new format they could bring it to the moody center. Nothing like Austin for the state championships. SA doesn’t compare

UIL did the right thing in bringing it to San Antonio.

Much better in SA.

Now that SXSW is in Austin, it's just not a good place to host any longer. Hotel prices are way too high and the traffic is so bad. Those last couple years in Austin was a complete mess. Teams had to stay 1 to 2 hours away from Austin to get reasonable hotel room prices. Then they had to deal with the traffic.

UIL listened to everyone (admins, coaches, fans) and had to make the decision to move out of Austin. It just wasn't feasible any longer to stay in Austin.

I am glad it's in SA. So much better overall.

Good riddance to Austin. Hope it never goes back there.

And it’s clear and obvious why you don’t like Austin
