The whole process of censuring a member of Congress is really freaking stupid. What does it really accomplish?

Agree. It’s supposed to appeal to his sense of conscience.

I remember last year when MTG was acting a fool and thought “well… somebody’s gonna get their chance to respond eventually,” now here we are.

So you are excusing his actions because of MTG? A few of us have admitted she messed up. Does that excuse Green and all other democrats for their behavior?

Also, let’s take it back to Pelosi’s tearing up of the SOTU. Even that was defended by the left.

It’s an escalation. I remember when one of the Supreme Court Justices mouthed “that’s not true” during Obama’s SOTU…. Shortly after somebody yelled “you lie” at Obama during a different SOTU.

I don’t condemn either side for escalating… it’s the nature of the beast. But episodes like MTG’s give rise to episodes like this one.

You guys defended her last year when she and Lauren acted a fool

I thought what MTG did was stupid but I believe there is a slight difference between shouting something and then what Green did by shouting, standing and refusing to end your tantrum. Shout something then sit and be quiet. Or better yet just don't attend

I don't think anyone was defending her. She's a nutcase. I'd take her over Nancy Pelosi or any of the Squad members though.

Yep.

All were being rude but that is a different issue.

They shouted and shut up. Al Green stood there yelling, was given an admonishment and told to return to his seat. He continued with his tantrum.

It’s like crossing a street against the red light and nobody gets hurt. Then compare that to someone who beat another person up and put him in the hospital. The Democrats would have you believe that since they are both crimes, they are equal.

Uhhh…… no.

I think the house chamber setup reeks of division. They should have to sit amongst one another. I also don’t think signs should be allowed. Protests are for outside. I hear Houston is not very happy with Green. He may have mental issues.

It's my understanding that the father of the young cancer survivor, that the Dems didn't applaud and stand for, lives in the same district that Green represents.  Thoughts are that he might run against Green.  I'd be all for it!!
