An article from that well known conservative news source Fox News had an article in May 2024 showing that Biden lied when he claimed inflation was at 9% when he took office. In fact the change in prices in the year leading up to Biden’s inauguration was 1.4%. It rose to just over 9% 16 months after he took office. His claim was completely false. WAIT, I am so sorry, I made a mistake. It wasn’t Fox News, it was CNN that well known ultra liberal news outlet This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up thetragichippy 1 Quote

CardinalBacker Posted Monday at 07:51 PM Report Posted Monday at 07:51 PM Who could have ever predicted that more tax cuts for the rich, combined with a haphazard tariff plan would lead to economic instability and a duplication of the disaster the last time Trump held the reins? Me. I predicted it. Quote

With the current tax code (6,871 pages) it doesn't matter if you set the tax rate at 10% or 90%...........they will pay $0 in taxes. Stop griping about tax rates and start asking for the tax code to be done away with. Taxes could be really simple across the board from Musk and Bezos all the way down to me. Doesn't really matter what the rates are set at if the wealthy have all the write offs. BUT, none of them will attempt to change the tax code when all of their big money donors (on both sides of the aisle) want it and use the hell out of it Big girl 1 Quote

Whether it be surplus park rangers or people working in DEI positions, they're not stealing from tax payers. They're just working. The only way they're stealing from the taxpayers is if they're getting paid for work they aren't doing. That said, I'm all for DOGE eliminating unnecessary positions. If 22 park rangers are doing work that should be done by 15 park rangers, cut 7 positions. If there's a whole office of folks being paid by the government to implement discriminatory DEI initiatives, cut the whole office! thetragichippy 1 Quote

I get your deep hatred for Trump and still trying to convince everyone you're a conservative but this is not a left/right issue. Many of the people taking advantage of the tax code are huge democrat donors as well (George Soros comes to mind). If Hillary and Biden were losing so much sleep over this tax issue why haven't they done anything about it in their 30 and 50 years in political office? You want to know why? Because they love the same provisions that Trump and Musk use. But they have convinced people it is only big, bad, mean Trump. What people need to realize is the tax code is the problem. These ultra rich guys built the system and live within the system they built. As much as you want to blame Trump it is a whole cabal of folks from both sides. I can promise you this, if you had the money they had and the ability to do so, you would do the exact same thing the ultra wealthy do. It is funny you only blame Trump and Musk because of you hatred but aren't upset that Bezos, Buffett, Soros and thousands others do the exact same thing. thetragichippy 1 Quote
