Once a statist, always a statist. As a conservative libertarian (little ‘L’), both sides hate me. But, I still go by my CIC’s ‘9 scariest words in the English language’ philosophy. He wasn’t perfect. But, his policies were very similar to Trump in some ways.

His haphazard approach to tariffs is wrecking faith in the economy. How does a business plan for anything when Trump might do something without notice that send the markets careening up or down. 

I’m fully expecting him to turn those B2s on Iran by Easter, just to wreak havoc. He can’t help himself.

First of all, art of the deal is Reagan’s post. If you’re going to attack someone, at least be armed with factual evidence. Revoking and pausing are not synonyms. Trump is fishing, except for China, with whom we have the largest deficit. It’s not all about American jobs even though thousands will be created. It’s about lowering other country’s tariffs so that American goods will sell globally, which increases production here, increases wages/overtime, and possibly expansion….which does create jobs too. I can’t believe this has to be explained to you. You seem like an intelligent guy at times.

Iran is coming to the table of talks. They cannot be allowed to have a functional nuke because they will hit Israel (Isreal to some), and we can all bend over and kiss it goodbye……WWIII. Really, it’s that simple.

Did you know before 1913, tariffs is how we funded the government?  If we can get fair trade tariffs we should be able to cut taxes.

It really impresses me how Trump can turn people that were OK with Biden's economy into people now that are soooo concerned with the economy......

I'm curious if they will keep the same energy the next 3 years. 

and the same people that were OK with a President that needed fluorescent tape on his stages to guide him off........
