Usually, when someone is critical of someone taking a political stance, it’s because they don’t know enough about current events to have an opinion, so they claim high ground in the name of a moderate.

Someone from leadership needs to step up and say we screwed up, we’re gonna fix it, and this will never happen again. That requires somebody being fired then so be it. If Trump were to fire one of his appointees, then he’ll be admitting he made a bad choice. That won’t happen. To deflect, deny, downplay, and play the whataboutism hurts the credibility of their transparency claim. Own it and fix it.

Trump has fired plenty of folks that he has chosen, like any administration does, and he has said the fault lies with Waltz, but to fire someone that would be difficult to replace to make the left happy is nonsense.

I don’t think rational folks are too concerned this will implode our National Security.

He fired them last term but not this term. Concerned about national security? I would be concerned about a security team with lack of awareness for something as simple as an unsecured app. How do you think this type of screw up would play out if China or Russia were involved. I agree (or hope) they are probably going to clean things up but downplaying and covering up does not reassure me and I’m sure others.

“You’re Fired” is a catch phrase that made him famous. This was a mistake that has been blown out of proportion by the left. The Afghanistan withdrawal was a mistake that cost 13 lives and not one person on here called for anyone’s head on a platter…..not so much as even a reprimand. The left is good at convicting by politics rather than principle.
