So much false information going around.

It blows me away the Suspect Karmelo Anthony is getting so much support.

I'm curious if the knife was over 5.5" long. If so, That would be a 3rd degree felony in Texas having it on school property.

@tvc184 - If the knife was over 5.5" long and if that is  3rd degree felony, could capital murder charges be filed, since he killed him while committing a felony?

The young man needs to spend the rest of his life in jail.

I don't think that warrants a capital murder charge all by itself.

Yes it would be a felony in Texas  if the blade was over 5.5” and on school grounds. Texas did away with restrictions on the length of a legal knife as long as it isn’t in a restricted location such as a bar, school grounds, etc., or basically anywhere that you could not lawfully carry a handgun.

So a person can walk down the street with a Roman broadsword on his side and it is legal. Going to a bar or on school grounds with a 5.75” blade and it’s a felony.

That is a no on the Capital Murder. It is not merely committing another felony that makes it Capital Murder but certain felonies. Examples are during a robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping, murder for hire, etc..

the misinformation is appalling. The defense of his behavior is appalling. the complete fabrication of what happened to justify that defense is most appalling. A kid murdered another kid for telling him to leave, and possibly grabbing him by the shoulders. Many on the internet blame the victim. It's insane.

Wait, touching someone doesn’t qualify for deadly force in self defense??

Do tell…. 🤣

Necessary force has been stretched a bit, usually for glaring reason.

Lots of them comparing him to Kyle Rittenhouse. First off, the two cases are nothing alike. Secondly, they told us over and over that he was guilty, so...

The suspect has hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from people supporting his innocence. Pitiful. What would happen if the races were switched. There ya go! Race shouldn’t enter into this, but it always does.

🤣🤣🤣

How far will people go to try and justify crimes?

Obviously you know this but…..

Rittenhouse twice tried to run away and only shot when corned or attacked with deadly weapons. When did the suspect in this case run away and was cornered?

FB is unbelievable with the excuses and justification.  I don't believe it will matter in a court room tho.....

Reminds me of the the UHC CEO killer......all the justification for murder.....crazy

And the glaring point that the "defenders" of the attacker aren't adequately addressing is that he showed up to school with a knife in his possession...

Yep, he was looking for trouble and found it.

I don’t think that a knife at school is a crime though. It can be a justification for suspension or expulsion.

I can't believe I'm attempting this, and I'll probably going to regret it....BUT, Texas Penal code 46.03a

Can be a 3rd degree felony if knife blade is over 5.5 inches.

at least that is what I'm reading
