Bobkat
I rode up to the school (Orangefield) this afternoon to see our new scoreboard, which is nice and noticed that we have also put up play clocks at each end of the stadium. We've always wanted and needed them, but was wondering if this was a district policy to have them now? Anyone know?
KFDM COOP
All schools are supposed to have them now according to the UIL. A couple of pictures of BC's new Scoreboard and 25 second clocks are on the Stadiums/Rita thread.
travelingcard
Not a district policy, but is cheaper to purchase these clocks at the same time that the scoreboard is purchased, so, since insurance is paying for most of these scoreboards due to Rita damage, the schools aren't having to fork out bunches of money to purchase these play clocks.. I can guarentee that if not for Rita, you wouldn't see these nice new scoreboards/playclocks So, something we can definitely thank Rita for in BC --- New scoreboards (Baseball/Football/Softball), new pressboxes with elevators and play clocks Thanks Rita for the damage to the stadiums8) PS: KFDM Coop --- Only 5A and 4A schools AFAIK are the only ones required to have the play clocks.
