of Cardinal Stadium??

I noticed they werent on the pressbox side on the pinned video vs McNeese. Did  they always play on that side or was that a unique situation?

Lamar's football team played on the visitors side? No wonder the weren't good. They couldn't even get the easy part right. The home team is always on the pressbox side of the stadium even in Jr High.

The confusion is:  1) The Lamar Student Section was on the visitior's side.  Early in the stadium history that side was often FULL - great student support and turn-out.  2) The team, however, was sometimes on the "Press-box" side and at other times (referring to full seasons) was on the other or, visitor's, side.  I believe it depended on the head coach as to where he wanted the home bench; either in front of all those students or in front of the home stands.

Yep, I think he is right. I remember going with my dad and watching Larry Haynes or (Coach Haynes now) play and the Lamar bench was on the pressbox side of the stadium. Then I remember going to the games during the Alborn era and the players were on the opposite site of the stadium. Gosh, the first thing I remember when think back was walking behind A. Caldwell and thinking "that is one large guy".

It must be common (at least then).

Off the top of my head I remember , as the visiting team, playing on the pressbox side at Northeast Louisianna (Louisianna Monroe)   SFA   Sam Houston State and  Arizona State.  I'm sure there are a few more if I thought hard about it.

I also heard the university wanted the band and student sections on the visitors side towards the end due to failing attendance on the visitors side, but that shouldnt have been needed against McNeese in the last game ever.
