jcb6790 Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 In the Klein Showcase, Kelly lost to Austin Westlake 1-0... The goal came with roughly 8 minutes left in the game off of a corner kick finished by a header... Overall it was a very well played game on both sides of the ball but the score shows who the better team was tonight
sharkfutbol Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Game stats... Kelly Westlake shots 7 11 corners 2 3 keeper saves 4 ?Kellys defense did great. Offense did great.... Midfield did pretty close to great...... Subs off the bench.. did Pretty close to great... Good game with the better team tonight winning....
reccosdog Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Kingwood Park 4Nederland 1Kingwood did a good job of stringing passes together and mounting an attack. Nederland's defense did a good job of slowing them down most of the time, but Kingwood made the most of their opportunities.
KFDM COOP Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Good luck Friday and the Weekend.
jcb6790 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Kelly lost 3-2 in the Klein Showcase to a VERY good Fort Bend Clements team.. Clements scored first in the first half and again in the second, Kelly started playing better in the second and put two in...once again in the last minutes of the game(around three minutes left) there was a somewhat questionable call which resulted in a PK, where Clements found there winning goal.. and im not trying make an excuse for the loss with the "questionable call" phrase because Clements was better than us
sharkfutbol Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Just to agree somewhat with JCB... the better team did win... this was the best team we have played in my opinion.. two minutes left Pk and they are winners.. however... Look at these stats and understand how much better this team played then us.. wow they were so fast.. we have one dynamo and odp player.. they had two dynamo players and one odp.. again... these guys were fast.. stats... Kelly................... Clementsshots 9 28 yes 28 Scorer had trouble keeping up first half.corners 4 5 Nothing else mattered.. great second half... first half is forgettable... ha
reccosdog Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Nederland 4Santa Fe 0While subbing the entire team every 10 minutes in the first half Nederland cruised to an easy win. The second half Nederland moved the ball around and played a more controlled game.Shots: Ned 21 SF 10

soccermom Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Pirates 3Dickinson 1FinalT. Reynolds had a hat trickWay to go Pirates!!! :)
sharkfutbol Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Kelly played San Antonio Lee today... Their soccer wasnt as good as the other two teams we played. They knocked it around well and played okay but were not a class team. They beat us the 3-0 and that was the worst defeat we have suffered. They were by far not the best team we played. Bigger than the loss was the loss of a player. Matt Kirby had xrays and has a sprained foot and will be out for a couple of weeks. This just in time for four district games. Well there ya go........
reccosdog Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Nederland 0Sharpstown 8Injuries to 4 starters and a very good Sharpstown team made for a long afternoon for the young dogs. Sharpstown scored 20 goals in the tourney and gave up ZERO.
KFDM COOP Posted January 12, 2008 Author Report Posted January 12, 2008 Hold your heads up Ned!! Get em next time..
CoachsWife Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 LCM JV brought their A game all weekend long! Not only did they win all four games, but three were shut-outs and they only allowed 1 goal the entire tournament. Way to go bears! We are so proud of you guys!
bullets13 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 i've never heard of sharpstown. where is it?
bullets13 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 thanks Coop... you're a bundle of semi-useful information ;D
reccosdog Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Sharpstown is close to hwy 59 between 610 & beltway 8. From what I was told they have some of the better hispanic soccer players from the area come to the school. They also have a kid on the Dynamo Developmental Team & Adidas Best 11 for the area.
