Mustang11
Just a message to all people who think they know what Mustang football is all about. If you went through the actual program, then you have sort of idea. If you didn't, then you have your opionion. Of course, you may not be able to play football at all yourself. At least, you have an opinion. You know the saying...Anyway, this post is the first and last for Mustang11. I just wanted to clear up all of the hoopla around me being some idiot named Mustang85. My name is Roderick Robertson, I wore #11 as a tribute to my idol growing up (ANDRE ROBERTSON) qb for the WO Chiefs in the mid 70's. I have no desire to brag about anything, nor have I EVER bad mouthed a coach from my school. That school started my career, those coaches had part in making my life a blessed success. I have nothing bad to say about anyone. My motto was and still is, if you want to compete- I'll be there. Of course, that motto does not exist for any kind of forum on the internet. If I have something to say about you, it probably won't be bad anyway. I will just distance myself from you and anything that you are about. I am a former professional athlete who's only goal in life now is to raise my son to be the best man that he can be. Not to get on some forum and talk trash. Even when I am umpiring a baseball game, all I do is try to help the kids to make them better. Mustang Football is only about one thing. If you don't know, then talk trash all you want. The only problem with that is, nobody in the program did what the team did that I was on. We were the first and last team from WO-S to go undefeated in the 5A classification. To me, that's what Mustang Football is all about. "WINNING WITH CLASS"---> Like Coach "T" used to say... "INK STINKS AND GUMS CAN BUMP, DO IT ON THE FIELD UNDER THE LIGHTS ON FRIDAY!" So in closing, please know that I have no idea who Mustang85 is. So for all of you who thought it was me, that's your problem and you can live with it. I am blessed with parents that raised me better than to bad mouth people for how they are, or to argue with a person because of who they think they are. I figure it like this, if you have to get your fame from a post on a forum, too bad for you.

ThrillHill80LHS
Contrary to what some might believe Mustang football started in 1977 and has continued to prosper. I personally thank Steve and Dan the op portunity to work at Wos. I chose not to continue after Dan got the job but I enjoyed the competion at the other schools I worked at. I am on my son's site and my name is Glen Hill. I just wish people would not openly apply for the OC job when it is not open. Cornel is a good guy and a great coach as I am sure Toby is but to let this stuff go on with out them calling a stop to it is unbelievable. We had great athletes when I was there and they continue to have great athletes. So I ask that you quit bashing who is trying to continue the tradition and pull together as this is the only way we will get another one!!

I am not an expert on WOS, but I try to follow all football topics on here and this is definately one of the hotter topics. I am not sure what you are reffering to when you say that you wish people would stop applying for jobs on here that are not open. You have to remember that this is a message board and people are going to give opinion. I think that there are a large number of WOS fans on here that would like to see a different playcaller, but I have never seen an actual person come on here and say I am applying for this mans job. Now I do think the topic is beaten in the ground, but this is a message board and people are intitled to their opinion. You then go on to say that "Cornel is a good guy and a great coach as I am sure Toby is but to let this go on without them calling a stop to it is unbelievable." When you say "without them putting a stop to it", are you referring to Cornel and Toby? If so, I doubt very seriously two coaches that are clearly successful are paying much attention to a local message board, and even if they were how do you think they could stop people from stating their opinions? This is a setxsports message board where people state opinions, facts, stats, schedules, and other interesting stories, and I personally am glad that Coop and company put this thing together. Just my opinion!!!
ThrillHill80LHS
I think your post an opinion is good as that is what you believe. No problem with that. I just stated my opinion and I want the Mustangs to do well. My last statement on the situation.
silverhat
SETXGURU I am also confused by the hilldad or hillson, or whoever this poster claims to be today. You see this poster was taking shots at Cornel and Toby about a month ago, and then he was identified and all of the sudden he thinks these guys are great people and coaches. I don't know this poster, but I am sure glad he is in L-Town and not at WOS!!
football
What a double play combo that was: Roderick and Shelton. I know I never played against a better pair and I don't think that Ive seen one since. What memories!

Bears
I have known Rodrick for years and to say he is a class act is a understatement...........I give him all the respect in the world, he always sought out my son and talked with him about his game and what he see's. Rod, Jerrod says hello from College Baseball where you helped him understand the game. Dale
