I have to go with the Silsbee Tigers, all nice and new, a lot better than the old field house we used in the day, howevr I still kinda of miss Kirby Stadium. Tiger forever.

Why is everyone so eager to get turf? I could not stand playing on it. The new stuff is better but still not as good as the real stuff. I still have scars from turf burns.

The new field turf is great, Not nearly as many injuries. This new turf requires no maintaince. The old carpet turf was terrible.

Though I have not played on the new turf I have been around it a considerable amount (NSU Turpin Stadium), yes it is better but still not as good as the real stuff. There are all different types of injuries on even the new turf that are not common on natural grass.

The only reason I could see it as being necessary is if more than one school is playing on the same field and necessary is the key word. I still would try every other option first. My opinion is that truf fields are for the fans, and I believe the athletes should come first.

I don't know alot of players like the new field turf. I've heard alot of players the last 2 years saying they wished they had it.

Talk to some that have it. Yeah it's nice, excitting at first. There wasn't but maybe a handfull of players that liked it by the end of the year at NSU.

Yeah, with the black pellets. It was installed in 2003 I believe. It is a very nice stadium by the way.
