RonBurgundy68 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Talk about an amazing game! Back and forth, back and forth! SFA made a TON of 3's, it seemed like they couldn't miss... Eat 'Em Up Kats!
Guest abovetherim Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Congratulations SHSU. That had to be a great game between two of the better teams in the SLC!
RonBurgundy68 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 It was an amazing atmosphere too, being as we're rivals... SFA brought alot of fans, and they made their selves known... Both teams now have identical records at 15-3 overall, 3-2 in Southland play... SHSU takes on UTA next Wednesday here in Huntsville, and i'll let everyone know how the game goes...
KFDM COOP Posted January 24, 2008 Author Report Posted January 24, 2008 Clutch 3-pointer carries Sam Houston past SFA HUNTSVILLE — Shamir McDaniel's three-pointer with 17 seconds remaining gave Sam Houston State University a 58-56 win over Stephen F. Austin University on Thursday night at Johnson Coliseum, bringing the Bearkats into a first place tie in the Southland Conference West Division. McDaniel, who scored 10 points on the night, capped off a frantic final minute which saw three lead changes. Sam Houston (15-3 overall, 3-2 in the SLC) overcame a 10-point first half deficit while bringing their home record to 10-1 overall. Josh Alexander scored a game-high 22 points for the Lumberjacks (15-3, 3-2), including six three-pointers, but missed a trey as the horn sounded that would have given SFA the win.
